DTR30.4 CAN'T CONNECT TO INTERNET
Hi there,
I just updated the firmware to v1.29 via USB.
When going through initial setup it fails to conect to the internet. It's trying to connect to
updsrv.onkyo.com
-> 153.246.71.246 but not getting any response
What can i do?

Hello Christian,
That URL (updsrv.onkyo.com) that you are providing is no longer valid since the DTR30.4 is an older model. Is the receiver working otherwise?

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Yes the amp works fine. That URL is the what the amp is trying to reach when connecting to the internet. So The amp is providing that URL not me. Is there a later firmware update that has a newer internet protocol?
I also read in another post that even if I could connect, Spotify still wouldn't work because of a protocol change with sportify, is that correct? If that is correct I don't actually have a need to connect to the internet.

Hello Christian,
Unfortunately, there is no more firmware updates for the DTR30.4 due it’s age. With Spotify changing their platform, the receiver would not be able to connect through the net function. However, if you are a premium spotify user you can try to use the spotify connect app to play your music through the receiver. If that doesn’t work, then you would have to use a different device to playback your Spotify through receiver.
