Do DHC-40.1 or DHC-80.3 *natively* decodeDolby Digital Plus?
I have the 40.1 and found a good deal on 80.3. My main reason to upgrade would be to take full advantage of DD+ in video streaming, but I can't find any reliable information on whether either of these units natively decodes DD+ (over HDMI) or just receives it and converts to regular Dolby Digital. Does anyone know? TIA.

What about DHC-40.1? The reason I asked the question is to find out whether I should upgrade from 40.1 (that I currently have) to 80.3, thanks!

Hello Michael,
My apologizes for leaving out the DHC 40.1's information. The DHC40.1 does not support the DD+ format. So if the Dolby Digital Plus is an audio format that you are wanting use then the DHC80.3 would be able decode the Dolby Digital Plus properly. Plus you would getting more capabilities with the DHC80.3 if you are also wanting to upgrade your speaker configuration and more device connectivity.
Thank you
Jennifer
