SOMETHING IS TURNING ON MY DRX 3.1 RECIEVER INCESSANTLY

Hi,

I am baffled.  It started after having the same setup for years.
I have the following hooked up through the receiver:
Nvidia Shield, Dish receiver, Boston Acoustics speakers, and, a TCL-Roku TV ( Mod 65R625).
Suddenly I can not use the TV speakers only anymore. Regardless of what source I want to watch the receiver turns on.
I have disconnected the power from each device individually and the behavior continues.
Only when I disconnetst the TV does it stop.
Am I wrong in guessing that would always happen because the TV is the conduit for all devices?
I have not messed with any of the settings on any of the devices forever.
I removed the batteries from all remotes to see if they were causing it. Nope.
I also covered the IR “eye” on the receiver so the remote would not work even from 1" away.
 It still turned on.
I have looked through the settings and changed some since this started to see the effect.
Nothing helped.  So I put each setting back as it was immediately after the failed test. 
This is adding a great deal of hassle to our enjoyment of entertainment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
